About a Family Portrait Session
A family portrait session is all about you and your loved ones.
What to expect on the day
On the day please expect some fun and excitement.
I will do a variety of backgrounds, poses and props for you to choose from.
What to bring to a Family Portrait Session
Any additional props you may want to use in the session.
Any additional outfits for yourselves.
Consider the following when choosing your outfit;
Do you wish to follow a theme?
Is the shoot for a specific occasion?
Have you got an idea of how you want your portrait to look?
We cater for all occasions including: sporting themes, engagements, hobbies, religious occasions & a lot more.
When considering what to wear remember how you would like your portraits to look.
Formal/Traditional portraits are generally taken from the waist up. Casual/Contemporary portraits are generally relaxed poses, which may include your whole body. So you are required to dress from head to toe.
Also you are required to remove your shoes so don't forget about your feet!
We recommend warm, rich colours when choosing an outfit, these generally photograph better. Black and white clothing or denim jeans and a plain t-shirt also photographs well. Avoid wearing patterns especially when there is multiple subjects in the portrait, these can be too distracting.
Also you may want to bring your child's favourite character outfit, for that special portrait!
Don't forget to bring any important things that you would like to appear in the portrait eg: props for hobby shots, costumes, Grandma, etc... Bringing your child's favourite toy can help to make your child feel more settled and you will have a beautiful memory to keep forever.

Time allowance
Allow 2 hours.
1 hour shoot session and 1 hour viewing session.
