About Boudoir Portraits
Boudoir literally means a woman's bedroom, in a boudoir shoot we capture those moments normally reserved for yourself in your own bedroom.
A boudoir shoot is great to show your sexy sensual side, and is great at building self esteem.
It is also a perfect gift for yourself or a loved one, for a wedding gift for your partner to be, or for an anniversary present, or even just because you want to and a reason is not needed, the ideas are endless.
What to expect on the day
You can expect bubbly on arrival.
If you have booked Hair and Makeup
- Please come without makeup
- Your hair needs to be washed the day before at the latest to ensure a better hold in your style
If booked, Hair and Makeup, by a professional artist, takes about one and a half hours.
Otherwise if you are doing your own hair and make please have it done before attending the session and please ensure to bring all your stuff along for touch ups etc.
Once you are all set, we then move into the 1 Hour photography session.
The session is very relaxed, I will assist you through your poses.
I will focus on features such as your eyelashes and your sensual side.
There will probably be some nerves as you push your own limits and go out of your comfort zone, when you undress to your lingerie, show some skin or decide to go completely nude.
Don’t worry about a thing as I have had plenty of experience and have seen it all.
What to bring to a Glamour or Boudoir Portrait session
Please bring along 2-3 outfits or less if you decide to have more skin showing, items such as a nightie or sexy negligée, and underwear.
Due to hygiene reasons, you must supply your own underwear and lingerie
If its a pre wedding boudoir session, I recommend bringing your wedding lingerie, vail, garter and shoes.
Think about what your comfort level is in regard to the photos.
I've had girls with short skirts and knee highs in a bra, a nightie, bra and knickers, and even Nudes.
I never push anyone to do anything they are uncomfortable with.
Suitability
Ages 18+
Traditionally Females only.
Couples Boudoir sessions also available.
Time allowance
Allow 4 hours.
2 hours hair and makeup, 1 hour shoot session and 1 hour viewing session.
