About Maternity Portrait Session
Congratulations on being a first time new mummy or a new mummy again.
Each pregnancy is unique to each person, we'll capture what is unique and beautiful about you.
Whether you have the pregnant glow or feel like a beached whale, every mummy to be is beautiful, it’s a time to be celebrated and remembered, I will make sure I capture your best angles and will show you just how amazing you are.
What to expect on the day
On the day you can expect a couple of outfit changes and we will be posing you in various positions including standing, sitting and laying down. We will use different lighting techniques including natural light to capture the beauty of you and your bump.
What to bring to a Maternity Portrait Session
Feel free to bring along any special outfits you would like to wear on the day.
We have maternity gowns/dresses. One is white lace and opens at the front, this needs white cream or nude underwear to be worn. Another is black lace and would require black underwear, nice fitting to accentuate your body.
In order to receive the best look, I would suggest soft fitting underwear and clothes to avoid skin depressions.
If you could arrive in something softly fitted ie. Singlet jersey material or a flowy dress of some kind, either work nicely.
Think of things that compliment and accentuate your features and bump.
There are no hard and fast rules as everyone is different.
Any additional props you may want to use in the session.
Suitability
All ages and Family members welcome.
Suggested timeframe for your session is between 30-36 weeks, late enough for you bump to show, but to still allow a bit of freedom of movement and comfort in the various pose positions.
Time allowance
Allow 2 hours.
1 hour shoot session and 1 hour viewing session.
